Description

At Sydri-Hagi we offer accommodation in a cottage on Árskógsströnd. The cottages is 37 m2 with big terrace.There are 2 bed in one room and bunkbed for 2 persons in another room, besides a sleeping couch in the living room and matresses on the sleepingloft. There is also a TV, microwave and barbecue. There is kitchen facilities for 8 persons. On the terrace there is a new hot tub.
In the late autumm you can sometimes see the northen lights.

Stores and petrol stations are in Dalvík (15 km) and Akureyri(28 km).

No Smoking

ENTERTAINNENT:
If you will be tired of lying on the sofa and enjoy the beautiful view, there is a lot of things you can do in the neighbourhood.
Hiking; treeplanting area, Katla mountain, Hrossatjörn, Þorvaldsdalur
Watch the animals at the farm.
At Dalvík (15 km) you can find : District museum.
In Siglufjörður (49 km) you can find :a Herring museum and The folk music centre .
Swimming pools are at: Dalvík (15 km), Þelamörk (19 km), Hrafnagili (41 km), Hrísey (7 km +ferry), Akureyri (28 km), Ólafsfirði (32 km) and Siglufirði (49 km).
Beer spa Árskógssandur (7 km)
A Hiking week is yearly in the summer around Dalvík and the big Fish festival
in the second weekend in August at Dalvík

We had a wonderful stay! Nice cottage in beautiful scenery, close to Dalvík and Akureyri. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. The hot tub was the highlight :) Would definitely recommend.

We had a very pleasant stay here. We had a couple of minor issues: At first the hot tub wasn't working, but when we contacted the owner he sorted that out immediately, there was no second garbage bag and at the lower bunk bed the light didn't work. The only real issue we had was that the bunk bed was very noisy (when turning around in the bed). If this issue is sorted we would surely book this cottage again.

Lovely little cottage in the most peaceful surroundings. When you sit in the hottub (no jets) the only sounds are the the birds and the babbling stream. Excellent communication from the host as well.

We didn?t stay in Gotusel, but we did stay in Solsetur & it was exceptional! We loved out time there & enjoyed the hot tub. Views were breathtaking! We went down to local town Hadenes & bought fresh fish! Was a great time! Thank you!

spacious inside, clean, hot tube outside, silence, beautiful views, very nice owner who drive with us because we got lost. I highly recommend. In future we will come back :)

My wife and I spent 2 nights at this amazing cabin. We were both in awe of how cozy and warm it was. It is well equipped with everything we needed to stay well fed, clean, and entertained. Waking up with only a single other cabin in view was incredible, and this is just the place to explore Akureyri and the surrounding area.

Family of 6 Persons for 6 nights in Götusel: perfect location for calm and peaceful holidays. The hot pool is superb! hiking in the nearby hills is recommended.

This is a lovely cottage--spacious but cozy. The kitchen is well stocked and the hot tub has a nice view of the fjord and snow-covered mountains. The bathroom is quite nice compared with other cottages we've tried. Great location near hiking and whale watching.

We had such a lovely time at the Götusel cottage. It's perfect for 4 people, but would also be possible for 6. Everything is very clean and nicely furnished, kitchen and bathroom well equipped. The hot tub works perfectly, as well as heating inside. Dalvik is a few minutes drive away and the area offers everything you need! We can highly recommend to stay there.

Everything was perfect. It was exactly how it was told and shown to be. Even better with hot-tub and goal for playing football and really nice beds and linned. The location perfectly with sunny and calm veranda, and road-description could not be misunderstood. Thanks for the stay.
I recommend this place highly.

The cabin is upon the hills. The view is magnificent. It?s very luxurious, and the hot tub was very nice. Especially when we came back from our trip.
The cabin has all you need for staying there. We will recommend it.

It was amazing stay for all 6 of us people.The cottage was very cosy,had everything what you need to stay over the weekend and it was placed by the trees.We were relaxing in hot tub at evening listening to birds.You can actually see a lot of birds there and listen to them whole day,very very relaxing and beautiful.Owners were very nice and helpful.I highly recomend this place :)

Our experience in this cottage was wonderful. The house has everything that we needed, and the owner offered us his help in our experience. Pleasant and quiet area, near Akureyri.

Located by the hillside, there is very few buildings around. You can definitely have quiet relaxing stay here. I enjoyed around in the morning or evening to see the beautiful mountain view or fjord. We were greeted by a friendly owner and family dogs too. The property is very spacious, clean, and neatly organized.
I highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again!

Simple but very comfortable and very relaxing. I would definitely stay there again. The whole family enjoyed it. No sea view but a lovely view of the mountain across the fjord. Enjoyed half a day in Akureyri; a drive to Myvatn which is so much more than just a lake; and the northern blue lagoon. We also saw whales from the roadside near the mouth of the fjord!

Beautiful, comfortable cottage with a breathtaking view on the fjord. If we had known it was so beautiful, we would have planned at least two nights here. The hosts were very kind and made our stay even more enjoyable. And the price is also very affordable for Iceland.

Super comfortable place to just lounge around. Large panaraomic windows towards the water (although the water is still a good distance away). Good gas grill is available. Only regret was wished we could of stayed longer.

There was some confusion about picking up key, need to get from the farmer on the other side of the road.

This one was awesome!!, perfect!!. Couldn't ask for more. I give it 5 stars just because i can't give it 100. We enjoyed it in couple format but it looks amazing for a small family too. I'd love to grow my children in a place like that [when I have some]. Thanks very much to Orman & Gitta.

beautiful cabin with an incredible location and view. close to great towns and nicely nested off a fjord and next to hills of berries. the hot tub is a great way to end the day. the family was incredibly gracious and let us tour their farm and buy some of their wonderful goat milk ice cream!
