Description

The home was build in 2013 and is located in Floahreppur which is like the gateway to all main
attractions in South Iceland. It is located off, state-road 30,-just 2,3 km north off Interstate 1, on
a peaceful gated private land, the home is also close to the Golden Circle, and many other attractions.
The home has three bedrooms, two bedrooms are with double beds, and one bedroom with two single beds. All beds have highest quality of mattresses and ready made eiderdown duvets. All bedrooms have a light eliminating window-rollers. The bathroom has a shower and high standard bathtowels-handtowels-washcloths for 6 people and a hairdryer

The home has a TV, satelite Tv,DVD,CD,radio and internet access.
The dining table can seat upto 6 people, and it is open to the kitchen which makes all servings very easy.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large American fridge( fridge/freezer/icemaker/running water)
dishwasher, full size stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, big toaster, blender, dishes, glasses, pots/pans utensils,silverware etc. Please let us know if you would need a baby high chair and/or pack ´n´play (babybed)It is complimentary.
In the hallway is a washer and dryer, all in the same unit so you can go home with a suitcase full of clean clothes. There you can also find iron and ironing board.
The patio has a big Stainless steal BBQ, and outdoor furnitures. After a long day out just to sit back and relax with a glass of wine on the patio and enjoy the view. The highlight is of course, your beautiful scenery with a spectacular view. During the winter time watching the Aurora Borealis- is just breathtaking.

This house is very homy, clean and everything welcomes you. I want to give this my best recommendations because it also has this litle extra like beer glasses in the freezer.

Við fjölskyldan dvöldum þarna ásamt vinum eina helgi og erum skýjunum með þetta allt saman. Húsið var svo bjart og fallegt, allt svo stílhreint og vel hannað. Þá var gjörsamlega allt til alls í bústaðnum og börnin nutu sín í leik bæði inni og úti. Á kvöldin sást bjarminn frá eldgosinu. Munum pottþétt bóka þennan bústað aftur.

Un emplacement idéal, une sweet home avec tout le confort nécessaire, un accueil très sympathique avec les petits conseils en plus très appréciables. A recommander sans faute.

Vorum í 3 daga, mjög ánægð með bústaðinn, allt til alls, amerísk rúm - uppábúin í hverju herbergi. Gervihnattasjónvarp með mörgum stöðvum. Mjög snyrtilegt í alla staði, ekki pottur, en stutt í Skeiðarlaug eða á Flúðir í sund. Mjög ánægð og takk fyrir okkur.

Just back from a week stay at Icelandic Cottages. The photos look impressive, but the reality is better. Very well equipped & tastefully done, (in my opinion). Plenty of space for our family of 4 and well situated to explore the delights of the "Golden Circle". On contacting "Rosa" - She could not have been more helpful and friendly - checking that we were OK and settled in, but otherwise letting us just enjoy the place.

Loved our stay in Icelandic-Cottages. Very clean and tidy and the owner is ever so helpfull.
Would definitely stay again and hope we will one day. Highly recommended.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you might need. It is also very cosy and warm. The owner, Rosa and her husband, were very helpful and provided lots of useful information to help us with our trip. It is in a good location for seeing the sights and doing various activities but is still just an hour or so from Reykjavick and the airport.

Cosy and really high quality house, with an incredibly nice living room for the whole family to revel in. Not super big, but the extremely good usage of space made it a joy to stay there in with a total of 6-8 people.

The owner Rosa is the loveliest woman, left us chocolate and really cared about us. We lacked some utensils, and almost immediately after we told her she came by with extras.

The highest recommendations from here.

This is a very well appointed property. It is clean, modern and well equipped. It is a bit out of the way in terms of proximity to town, but if you like that, it is ideal, in a quite spot 10 to 15 minutes drive from Selfoss. It is also ideally placed for the golden circle.
